You've Got a Friend

I hope you are all not getting tired of seeing my Copic colored artwork and cards. I need to switch gears so I don't get burned out...I still have a few more to show and I'll be moving on to other projects to post.

This card features a sketch I did of one of my favorite koala pictures. If you haven't already guessed, I do love koalas. I would love to travel to Australia one day and actually hold one, but right now, I collect them in various forms (stuffed toys, figurines, books, etc) and sometimes draw them.

I colored this sketch using Copics...it was fairly easy since the main colors were gray for the koalas (This Copic color is called Warm Gray) and two different greens for the grass.

The background paper is from a new stack by DCWV called Rustic...very nice! Lots of earth tones/autumn colors.

I used the Gazelle with a pen to write the greeting.

I'm thinking of livening up my blog....so if you have any suggestions as to what you'd like to see, post them in the comments...I'm open to new ideas!

A new week is about to start, and only a few more weeks until Summer is officially over. WOW, where did the time go? Hope you are making the most of the rest of your summer....have a great week!

Koala-t hugs,

Cathy

  2. The card is adorable and your work is so lovely it would be hard to get tired of looking at it. I was in Australia years ago and when you hold the baby koala (they don't let you hold the bigs!) they put it on a grey pillow so it thinks it's still on mama's back. They are so cute!!!!!!!! they are also stoned most of the time since they eat eucalyptus! hugs eileen
